Little

This not so "little" experiment turned out to be more than I expected! My intention was to get pure-in-the-moment-top-of-mind-data, and from some of the word choices, I do believe we are seeing some "raw" data. Thank you to all who participated, and the results are, in order of appearance:

a hug!
an island
a nervous breakdown
a piece of chocolate
a bed
a funny friend
a vacation
a blog
a life
a handyman!
a Content Warning
a cheeseburger
a change
a cold medicine that really works
a hot breakfast

As I read these entries, I can connect with each and every one of them! Such a random display of little phrases, little moments, little words, truly can show and express so much. I imagine some of you in a very exact part of your day; some of you alone with your thoughts, and some maybe even sharing an intimate memory. Trust that I also picked up on the poking fun at me, as well! Well-played!  :-)

I have always been a lover of "the 'little' things". Savoring a morning coffee when it tastes better than it did the morning before, or stopping to catch a reflection of sunlight cascading onto the roof of a building. I am stopping to admire this creative list of "little things" that my readers so graciously gifted us!

I smile most readily, at "a blog", because I know and adore the sender. I am saddened a bit by "a nervous breakdown", but I know all too well what that felt like for me, when I was facing grief and loss, so I relate deeply to that post. I love, love, love, quadruple love - hugs! My mind runs wild around the post "a bed" as so many glorious, relaxing, therapeutic, healing, exhausting, restful and restless things can happen there! "A handyman" pulls a bit on my heartstrings, as I have fond memories of a man who once was my personal handyman. Chocolate is and always will be a happy moment for me. Can't say I've ever had a bad piece of chocolate. Vacations come in all shapes and sizes. I have learned that an inexpensive weekend vacay camping trip; with outdoor exploration of plants and trails and toads and smores with your kids can sustain you just as long as a thrilling mountain adventure, hot-air-balloning, hot-tubbing rockin' good time - vacay. Every moment, be it short, long, scary, sad, hilarious, frustrating, exhausting, thrilling...no matter the feeling....teaches us something.

The best part of this two-word excercise today, is that I see the beauty in all of these little things, and I can reaffirm that the little things really do matter most!

A little closer to all of you, and striving to make the most of it.
